The needs of our community are great and growing, and help is needed. Grand Central Sherman could not operate without the generous work and support of volunteers. How can I serve as a volunteer?

1. Prepare and serve food in The Dining Car weekdays or make sack lunches for distribution on Saturdays. This is a multi-hour commitment under the direction of staff. Work in the kitchen requires a Food Handler certificate. Signups are scheduled using Signup Genius, which is published and pinned on our Facebook page each month.
2. Assist in the Market Depot food pantry – a client choice pantry open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday – with organizational work at other times.
3. Help with the Children’s Express program, working with food donations that are then bagged and delivered to local elementary schools for students to take home weekends during the school year.
